Judy Moon Aday, born October 6, 1949, passed away on Sunday.

She was born and raised in New Hope, Alabama, and made Athens, Alabama, her home for more than four decades. She graduated from New Hope High School in 1968 and later attended Calhoun Community College, where she earned an associate degree in nursing. She went on to spend more than 30 years as a registered nurse, dedicating her career to caring for others.

She was preceded in death by husband, Jimmy Aday; son, Jacob Aday; parents, Gardner and Mary Moon; brothers, Charles Moon and Johnie Moon; and sisters, Sara Nell Tracy and Hazel Miller.

Surviving are son, Grant (Traci) Aday; granddaughters, Sara Aday and Kate Aday; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to join us in a celebration of her life Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home.
