Bobby Lee Fox, 89, of Boaz, Alabama passed away January 27th at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice in Albertville.
Bobby was born on March 22, 1936, as number six of what would become fifteen children. Perhaps this is where he learned his love language of “aggravating” people. The more he loved, the more he aggravated.
He had a deep and unwavering love of God. He was happy to sit for hours and talk about that Bible and God’s love. He was a shining example of love thy neighbor and treat others as you want to be treated.
He never met a stranger and leaves behind a multitude of friends he loved dearly including his church family at Whitesville Missionary Baptist Church.
He had a goal to live to be 90+ but lived a great and full life for his 89 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Jewel Fox, ten siblings and wife Brenda Fox.
He is survived by his only child, Sherry Covington (Britt) of Warner Robins, GA, grandson Holden Covington of Huntsville, granddaughters Avery Covington of Nashville, Campbell Covington of Opelika and Larson Covington of Atlanta, his siblings, Tommy Fox, Richard Fox, Allen Fox and Elaine Cook, niece Wendy Baker who was so good to check on him and special niece Rubye Fox, who lovingly and tirelessly drove him to appointments and church. She provided him with great love and support.
The family extends special thanks to Jessica from As Close as Family, his OT and PT Michelle and Ryan at Albertville Nursing Home and Rehabilitation, nurses Kay, Jessica and Chelsea at Marshall Medical South and the entire staff of Shepherd’s Cove Hospice who loved and cared for him.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 29th from 5:00-7:00 at Carr Funeral Home Boaz with funeral service on Friday, January 30th at 11:00 in the chapel. He will be laid to rest at Friendship cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to Boaz Carr Funeral Home
