Deborah M. McPherson, 65, died Monday afternoon at her home following a long battle with breast cancer. She was born September 21, 1960, in Humboldt, Tennessee, to the late Gerald and Rosemary McGill. She graduated from Tupelo High School in 1978 and the University of Mississippi in 1984. A resident of Tupelo, she worked for the North Mississippi Medical Center for 37 years before her retirement. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family at the lake, cheering on her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and the Ole Miss Rebels. She was a faithful member of Harrisburg Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 10 AM to 12 PM on Friday at Harrisburg Baptist Church. Services will be at 1 PM with Rev. David Langerfeld officiating followed by a private graveside service at Lee Memorial Park for the family. Holland Funeral Directors are in charge of the arrangements and are honored to be serving the friends and family.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years Hal McPherson; daughter Elena Gilliland and her husband Benjamin of Tupelo, son Patrick McPherson and his wife Kristi of Tupelo, daughter Dixie McPherson and her fiancé Hayden Buettner of Birmingham; three sisters: Syrena Carlisle and husband Steve of Hernando, Roseanne McPherson and husband Rick of Tupelo, Jerilynn Billingsley and husband Lee of Starkville; four grandchildren: Rosemary and Henry Gilliland, Hollis and Mills McPherson; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Her nephews will serve as her pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Smokey Young Sunday School class. Memorials may be made to the Harrisburg Baptist Church Building Fund 4675 Cliff Gookin Blvd. Tupelo, MS or Regional Rehab Center of Tupelo, MS.
