FLORENCE-On January 13, 2026, at approximately 6:50 a.m., the Florence Police Department responded to a call for service regarding a deceased male in the parking lot of the 300 block of Wallace Street. Day B Patrol officers arrived on scene and immediately secured the area as a crime scene. The Florence Police Department Criminal Investigation Division responded and took responsibility for the investigation.
The deceased male has been identified as Ronald Lumbus, 60, of Florence, Alabama. We extend our sincere condolences to Mr. Lumbus’s family and friends during this difficult time.
