Jeremy Lee Black, 49, of Fort Payne, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026. He was born March 27, 1976, in Rome, Georgia, to the late Jimmy Lamar Black and Charlotte Diane Rutledge. Jeremy spent his career in dry wall construction. He enjoyed fishing and football and was an avid Alabama fan. Roll Tide!
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. CST (3 p.m. EST) Sunday at Johnson Cemetery in Lyerly, GA.
He is survived by his son Austin Black; brother William Haynes; sister Jessica Haynes; aunts Wanda Callahan and husband Jerry; uncle Winston Black; and nephews Hunter Black and Michael Johnson.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
