Bobby Morris, 91, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at his residence. He was born August 15, 1934, in Lamar County, to Walter Gray Morris and Annie Lee Nolen Morris.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter G. and Anne Lee Nolen Morris, two sons- Craig and eric Morris, and his first wife- Betty Jo Morris.
Bobby served his country in the Korean War from 1952-1955. He was injured in combat and awarded the Purple Heart Medal of Honor.
He was the football Coach at Hatton and Falkville High Schools and was at Austin High School for 25 years as TNI Coordinator. He was a member of the Tunsel Road Baptist Church.
Bobby will be cremated in accordance with his wishes and there will be no viewing or memorial service. Only a small family gathering was his wish. Bobby will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those that had the pleasure of knowing him. We pray that his kind and generous soul will live on in our hearts forever.
A Special “Thank You” to our family friend, Eddie Preuitt, and Lunden and Halie of Hospice. This would have been a long hard journey without them. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Valley or to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in memory of Bobby Morris.
