Mary Alice Granier Knoblock, 73, passed away on December 11, 2025 surrounded by her family, her devoted friend, Bea Holt, and her husband of 53 years and the absolute love of her life, Glenn Knoblock, Sr. She was born December 25, 1951 in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a longtime resident of Red Bay, Alabama.

Mary was the proud mother of two sons and a daughter-in-love she welcomed into her heart at age 15 and cherished as her own: Ryan Charles Knoblock (Kelly), Glenn “Squally” Knoblock and Brandy Knoblock.

She was “Itty Bitty Mawmaw” to seven grandchildren, who adored her: Chase (Danielle) Knoblock, Colby (Kathryn) Knoblock, Kaylea (Austin) Milam, Madison Fierro, Abby (Dylan) Pee, Chloe Knoblock, and Sawyer Knoblock. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Nathaniel “Nate” Knoblock, Oliver “Goose” Milam and Evelyn “Evy” Knoblock.

Mary leaves behind her five beloved siblings: Deborah McGee, Brenda (Lou) Guidry, Scarlett (Mixson) Napper, Milton Granier II, and Karla (Mark) St. Ament, special sister-in-law: Lisa (Kenny) Mathews, along with a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Mary had many cherished friends and was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She spent many years employed at Russellville Health Care, where she worked with dedication and compassion until her retirement.

Per her wishes, there will be no formal service or funeral. Instead, family and friends will gather to celebrate the beautiful, full life she lived on Sunday, December 14, at 1 p.m. at her home. Guests are asked to wear red, Mary’s favorite color. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, as the family continues to pray every day for a cure. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL assisted the family.

Mary will be deeply missed, but her family finds comfort knowing she is healed, whole, and in the presence of her Heavenly Father.
