Hellan Louise Bonds Marshall Jenkins, age 84, of Huntsville, Alabama, was received into Heaven by her loving Savior on November 7, 2025, following extended health challenges related to COVID.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2025, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Dr. Robert White, Jr., of Locust Grove Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 171 County Lake Road, New Market, Alabama.

Hellan was a loving, compassionate, and generous mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family and her Savior unconditionally. Her many passions included gardening, painting, cooking, sewing, antiquing, homemaking, and traveling. Hellan loved all things floral, antique, and British, and she was a prolific collector of English china.

She was born on September 12, 1941, in Valhermosa Springs, Alabama, to James Columbus (“Lum”) and Mary Nell (Woodard) Bonds. She attended Cotaco High School and later received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. After raising four children, Hellan enjoyed a 30-year career as an accountant for several missile defense contractors, an engineering firm, Hilton Hotel in Huntsville, and a school photography business, before retiring in 2000 to care for her husband. Hellan was also an independent businesswoman, owning and operating Foxfire Antiques and New Market Florist.

Throughout her life, Hellan was a faithful church member and dedicated teacher, serving in many congregations across the country as her husbands’ work required. She has been a devoted member of Locust Grove Baptist Church for more than 35 years.

Hellan is survived by her husband, Wayne Jenkins, of Huntsville; her daughters, Tammy Bean Warren, Karla Marshall Maranville (Rick), and Paige Marshall Follis (Bryan); 10 grandchildren, Danielle Bean Silva Aceituno (Diego), Amber Warren Hudgins (Matt), Christian Warren, David Warren, Bethany Warren Corbett (Adam), Hope Strickland Nowakowski (Cody), Hannah Strickland Cofer (Jackson), Kristina Maranville, Maddie Grace Follis, and Hudson Follis; 11 great-grandchildren; her sister, Lynda Bonds Peay, of Cloudland, Georgia; her brother, Bobby Bonds, of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her previous husbands, Donald Bean and Terry Marshall; her son, Curt Bean; her brother, Gene Bonds; her sister, Mary Ann Bonds Weaver; and her sister-in-law, Anna Bonds (wife of Bobby Bonds).
