James Edward Smith

Born on August 5th, 1938, James was the son of the late William Edward and Odell Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert Smith, one sister, Dale Wales, and his beloved wife of 62 years, Betty J. Smith. He is survived by his children, Randy Carroll Smith (wife Donna), Terry Lynn Smith (wife Sandy), and James Brian Smith (wife Amanda); grandchildren, Brandy Rankin, Brandon Smith (wife Jessica), McKenzie Smith McGuire (husband John), Kimmie Smith, Layken Smith, and Blakely Smith; great-grandchildren Evan Rankin, Riley Smith, and Nolan Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd from 6-8:30 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd at 11:00 am at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, AL, with Bro. Lon Ostrzycki officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, Alabama.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Smith, Bill Smith Jr., David Brock, Keith Holt, John McGuire, and Jackie Smith.
