Mary Jan Suttles, age 75, a resident of Hampshire, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at her residence.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Marc Ball officiating. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the service hour. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on April 15, 1950, in Cumming, Georgia, Jan was the daughter of the late Lloyd Ball and the late Lena Pugh Ball. She was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and had a deep love for the Lord. Jan was a caring, fun-loving woman who was full of life and never met a stranger. She volunteered at Maury Regional Medical Center for fifteen years, always willing to lend a helping hand to others. She found great joy in caring for her flowers, loved camping, and always enjoyed accompanying her husband to drag races.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Ralph R. Suttles of Hampshire; daughters, Angie (Kerry) Stribling of Shannon, Mississippi, Lisa (Curtis) Letner of Emerson, Georgia, and April Dawn Odom of McDonough, Georgia; brothers, Lamar (Lyn) Ball of Marietta, GA, Kenny Ball of Canton, Georgia, and Marc (Jodie) Ball of Missoula, Montana; grandchildren, Carson Letner, Lenox Watkins, and Jade Watkins, and nieces and nephews, Deanna Ball Stells, Marc Ball, Jr., Toni Ball, Denise Ball Wheeler, Kenny Ball, Jr., and David Ball.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Jan Ball.
