Karen Sue Yielding passed away Monday September 22, 2025 at her home in Tremont. She was born April 15, 1954 in Kansas City Missouri to the late Charles Alexander and the late Quillie Wilson Alexander. Karen was a master of many crafts. She loved sewing, crafting, and restoring old furniture. She had a passion for her ancestry and spent countless hours researching and working on her family tree. She was an excellent cook, with fried chicken and pie of any kind, being a popular request at family dinners. She enjoyed antique shopping or just shopping in general. She was an avid bowler and was involved with the youth bowling leagues while living in Zion, IL. She was genuine, witty, and unselfish, always putting others first. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events. The family house at the Lake of the Ozarks was a favorite get-away spot.
A private family memorial service has been selected in the near future.
Survivors includer her daughter, Christi (Rob) Fischer of IL, Kelly Yielding of Tremont, son, Brad (April) Yielding of IL, Son, Wes Yielding of Tuscumbia, AL; grandchildren: Caleb Nettles, Kenli Nettles, Conner Nettles, Bri Yielding, Aron Yielding, Bobbi Yielding, Seth Moore, Chloe Moore, Andrew Moore, Logan Yielding; great-granddaughter, Adelynn Reeves; great-grandson, Ryker Pounders; siblings: Sharon (Gary) Dalrymple, Lynn (Greg) Gillam, Lori (Kenny) Kneib, Mark (Lori) Alexander, Scott (Cynthia) Alexander, Pam (Michael) Garfias, Jim (Paul Trevino) Alexander; sister-in-law, Jacki Alexander
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy Lee Yielding; brother, Michael Alexander; son-in-law, Eric Scott Aldridge
