Bobbie Windle Lambert passed away September 12, 2025, at the age of 93.
She was born in Aliceville, Alabama on November 30, 1931, to Houston Erasmus Windle and Lillian Windle. Her mother, Lillian, died while she was very young, and she was raised by her stepmother Mina Windle together with Houston.
Bobbie graduated from Aliceville High School, and then graduated from Alabama College, now known as the University of Montevallo. She worked as a teacher and elementary school librarian for 35 years. She married her husband, Donald Ray Lambert in 1960.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Jane Young and Anne Childs.
She is survived by her husband, Don; son, Donald Windle Lambert; daughter-in-law, Rose Mary Lambert; her granddaughter, Tess Josephine Gaskins and her husband, Levi Gaskin; brother, Hugh Windle and his wife, Lana Windle; and many nephews and nieces and other family members.
Visitation will be held at Laughlin Service Funeral Home on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Unity Cemetery in Aliceville, Alabama.
