Sandra Jean Homesley  Sandra Jean Hail Homesley, age 82, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and cherished family memories.

Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, on August 13, 1944, Sandra was the youngest daughter of the late Kellawn and Ruby Hail.

A woman of steadfast faith and dedication, Sandra served her community for 36 years as a bookkeeper at Stringfellow Hospital. Her devotion to her faith was evident in her service at New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church in Anniston, Alabama, where she served as the church secretary and shared her musical talents as the church organist and pianist.

Sandra loved Jesus, her family, and her many lifelong friends. She found great joy in attending church, reading Christian fiction, and working puzzles. She especially treasured time spent with loved ones—whether shopping, sharing good meals, or cheering on Alabama football games with friends. As the dedicated keeper of her family’s legacy and history, she was rarely seen at family gatherings without a camera in hand, ensuring precious moments were captured for generations to come.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Kellawn and Ruby Hail; her beloved husband, Hughey D. Homesley; her brother, Charles Hail; and her sister, Joyce Hail Doss.

She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Peggy Hail and Mary Homesley, and brothers-in-law, Donald Doss and Duey Homesley, as well as her loving nieces and nephews: Wendy Fleming (Curtis), Jason Hail (Gwen), Amanda Doss, Jessica Doss, Craig Homesley (Penny), Chris Homesley (Wendy), Carrie Homesley (John Thompson), Shannon Kihlstadius (Sean), and Shane Hardy (Melanie), along with several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Sandra was blessed to be surrounded by loving family, friends and caregivers at the end of her life. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude and special thanks to Ms. Katherine Brewster, Cleburne County Nursing Home, and Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, donate to Alzheimer’s Association or to Sandra’s church, Life Worship Center.
