Patricia Dorothy Dailey Patricia Dorothy Dailey (née Morrison) was born on August 19, 1941, and went home to be
with the Lord on September 7, 2025, at the age of 84.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Katherine Morrison, and her
daughter, Kelly Johnson.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Gerald Dailey; her sisters, Judy
Dibenidetto and Cathy Morrison; and her brother, Frank Morrison (Jean). She is also survived by
her sons: David Dailey (Cindi), Gerald Dailey Jr. (Misty), and Sean Dailey (Leslie) and son-in-law
Dwayne Johnson.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Jody Jett (Terry), Shane Dailey
(Amanda), Amber, Jessica, Angela, and Samantha Johnson, Reagan, Carsyn, Olivia, and Connor
Dailey; as well as four great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her tremendous joy.
At the age of 12, Patricia gave her life to Christ after attending a local church service
down the street from her home. By age 13, she was already teaching Sunday school, planting
seeds of faith in the lives of young children and sparking her own lifelong love of early
childhood education and sharing the gospel.

She worked her way through Philadelphia College of Bible, becoming the first in her
family to earn a college degree. During that time, she was actively involved in evangelism, often
sharing her faith and passing out tracts. She later earned a Master’s degree in Education and
began her teaching career at a Christian school followed by 15 years in the Philadelphia public
school system.

Her calling led her to become the principal of her church’s Christian school, where her
leadership brought about remarkable growth in enrollment and spiritual impact. Later, Patricia
and her family relocated to Florida, where she continued to teach kindergarten in public
schools and served faithfully in children’s ministry.

After retiring with over 40 years in education, Patricia moved to Decatur, where she
became an active member of Decatur Baptist Church. She was a dedicated leader in the
AWANA children’s program and continued to teach Sunday school and mentor children in their
faith until she was physically unable to do so.

Throughout her life, Patricia led by example, bringing her parents, siblings, children and
husband to Christ through her unwavering faith and loving spirit.
She will be remembered for her joyful laughter, her unwavering strength, her fierce love
for her husband, children and grandchildren, and her deep devotion to the Lord.

Her impact will be felt for generations, and her family rejoices in the hope of seeing her
again in Heaven.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral
service at 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home.
