MUSCLE SHOALS– First Metro Bank and its Board of Directors are pleased to announce
the addition of Heath Kirby to their team in Athens, serving as Mortgage Loan Originator.
A native of Hartselle and an alumnus of Troy University, Kirby’s service-oriented and
community-centric mindset align with First Metro’s culture of civic engagement. He is currently

Heath Kirby
involved in a number of organizations: a board member for Habitat for Humanity, a member of
the Family Services Committee for Habitat for Humanity, the Affiliate Council for the Morgan
County Board of Directors, a leader for First Priority at Barkley Bridge School, a member of the
Hartselle Rotary Club, and a member of the Hartselle City Board of Zoning Adjustment.
“I’ve worked for big banks as well as community banks in the past. I like the community bank
model the best because it provides a unique, hands-on approach to banking. I love how First
Metro is always active and participating in local events and organizations. I look forward to
being a part of the relationships that First Metro has cultivated in the communities we are a
part of,” says Kirby.
With over twenty years of experience in the financial field and fifteen years of mortgage lending
knowledge, Kirby will serve First Metro’s Mortgage Team in Limestone County, Madison County,
Morgan County, Cullman County, and surrounding areas. His love for community banking has
fueled his desire to provide the best customer service experience possible as he guides customers throughout the mortgage loan process. Whether it is for the customer who is a first-time homebuyer, wanting to purchase or refinance a home, or needing a construction loan to build their dream home, Kirby is eager to make the mortgage loan process as easy and timely as possible.
Chris Estave, Vice President and Mortgage Lending Officer, stated, “First Metro Bank is
committed to providing top-level customer service in doing what is best for our
customers. Heath has shown this same attitude in his career, and we are excited to have him
represent First Metro Bank in the community to meet our customers’ mortgage needs.”
