Tammie Jo Summerford, 58, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025. She was born October 20, 1966, to Joe Donald and Lelia Maxine Adair Jones. She was a 1984 graduate of Tremont High School and attended Itawamba Junior College. She worked as a teacher’s assistant at Fairview for a few years and as a deputy clerk in the Circuit Clerk’s office. Tammie never met a stranger and loved with her whole heart. She fiercely loved her family, and the Ole Miss Rebels never had a greater fan. She enjoyed shopping, watching wrestling, and cooking when she was able.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 27, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Joseph Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Tremont.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Ben Summerford; her daughter and son-in-law to be, Lindsey Cara Clark and Joe O’Neill; her son, Brayden Joe Summerford; her stepdaughter, Brett Carsten (Ben), and stepson, Bo Summerford; her sisters, Pam Dines (Randy) and Laura Brose (Ryan Massengill); her brother, Joseph Jones (Stephanie); and her nieces and nephews, Alice Brose, Adeline Brose, Henrik Brose, Hazel Brose, Valerie Jones, and John Chesser Jones. She was excited about her grandson Beckham Carsten making his arrival later this year; meanwhile, she delighted in her grand-kitties Leopold and Theodore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Maxine Jones, and her grandparents, Johnny and Pauline Jones and Doug and Dellie Adair.
Pallbearers will be Randy Dines, Brandon Jones, Joe O’Neill, Ryan Massengill, William Ivey, Dustin Wren, Jordan Roberts, Corey Farrar, Donnie Wood, and Ceburn Gray.
Honorary pallbearers will be Henrik Brose, John Chesser Jones, and Will Ashley.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
