Bill Wade Stebbins Bill Wade Stebbins, age 92, a beloved longtime resident of Arab, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Barfield Health Care in Guntersville, Alabama. Born in Missouri on June 16, 1933, Bill lived a remarkable life marked by service and creativity.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He earned his bachelor’s degree and went on to enjoy a rewarding career at Boeing, where he retired as an Engineering Manager.
Bill was an active member of Arab Wesleyan Church, He was also a talented artist with a passion for painting and woodworking, crafting pieces that reflected his appreciation for beauty. A lover of travel, Bill explored the United States extensively, seeking inspiration and adventure wherever he went. He found joy in simple pleasures: watching the horses in nearby pastures, attending antiques and auctions, and cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Lee Stebbins and his son, Jeffrey Wade Stebbins.
Bill is survived by his grandchildren, David Stebbins and Matthew Stebbins; six great grandchildren; and special friends, Joe and Tanya DiFatta, Jim and Patty Saunders, and Tony and Elizabeth Craig.
Bill will be laid to rest in Arab Memorial Cemetery. The graveside service will be Friday, July 25, 2025 at 10:00am. Reverand Nicky James will officiate. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel entrusted with arrangements.
