Funeral Services for Mrs. Lois P. Whitley, age 68 of Ashland, will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Mt. Carmel Christian Church at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Randy Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Whitley passed away at her residence on Sunday, May 25th, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Ashland, Alabama. Her grandchildren were the loves of her life, she loved spending time with them, watching them grow, and become wonderful young men. Mrs. Whitley had numerous children in her home over the years that she held close to her heart; each one touching her in their own unique way.
She was employed by Tru Wood cabinets until the plant closing. Mrs. Whitley was an active member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church; she loved singing in the choir and spending time with her church family.
Mrs. Whitley is survived by one son, Tony Whitley (Stefanie) of Wedowee; one daughter, Miracle Vickers (David) of Alexander City; four grandchildren: Creek and Wyatt Whitley, and Andrew and Luke Vickers; one sister, Jemima Forman (Danny) of Ashland, and one brother, Harvey Phillips (Charlotte) of Ashland; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Calvin Whitley; mother, Clara Bob Phillips; father, Harvie B. Phillips; one brother, Robert Oneal Phillips; and her beloved niece, Nevah Leigh Waldrop.
Pallbearers will be Schyler Forman, Chris (Woody) East, Andrew Vickers, Creek Whitley, Wyatt Whitley, and Luke Vickers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeremy Waldrop and Jackson Craven.
The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Mt. Carmel Christian Church beginning at 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M.
