Shirley Barton, age 82 of Ardmore, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025 at her residence.Shirley was born in Pulaski, TN on December 6, 1942 to Roy Solomon and Lola Dunnavant. She was a dedicated homemaker who always fed everyone because of her love of cooking. Shirley had other talents outside of the house such as fishing and growing a garden; it didn’t matter whether it was flowers or fruit trees. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; 8 siblings.
Visitation will be 12-2pm on Thursday May 29, 2025 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with a 2pm Funeral Service following. Interment will be in Giles Memory Gardens.
Shirley is survived by her son Joey Barton of Ardmore; daughter Lynn Barton of Dandridge; grandchildren Tyler Barton, Josh Newton (Monica), Carrie Hodge (Matt); great grandchildren Anthony, Luke, Sophia; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
