Allen Wells, age 58, of Snead, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, May 10, 2025. He was a proud member of Joy Baptist Church, where his faith and fellowship were a source of strength throughout his life.
Allen was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Veranda Wells; his children, Brady Wells (Lexi), Brianna Patterson (Samuel), and Carrie Wells; and his cherished grandchildren: Braxton Piper, Addison Cardy, Brantley Wells, Kevin Wells, Jackson Cardy, Brinley Wells, Brixton Wells, James Patterson, and Baby Boy Patterson. He is also survived by his sister, Denise Wells Ogle; niece, Julianna (Mason) Walker; nephew, Steven Ogle; and his mother-in-law, Verna Lancaster; chosen brothers, Scott (Regina) Smith and Danny (Teresa) Collins and chosen children, John and Meagen Cardy.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Shelby Grace; his parents, Robert S. and Bobbie Jean (Pointer) Wells; and his father-in-law, Verbon Lancaster.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, with Bro. Ray Blanton, Danny Collins, and Bro. Stephen Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 a.m., two hours prior to the service.
Pallbearers will include Brady Wells, Samuel Patterson, Steven Ogle, John Cardy, Braxton Piper, Scott Smith, Christen Bradley, and Duane Miller-Suchey.
Allen will be remembered for his love for family, his loyalty to friends, and the deep roots he planted in his community.
