Jon Edward Denney, Sr., age 78, of Albertville, passed away on May 9, 2025. He was born on April 3, 1947, to the late James Jackson Denney and Joyce Wray.
Jon was a devoted family man who found joy in the simple things—especially fishing and spending time with those he loved.
He is survived by his sons, Jon Denney, Jr. (Michelle) and Jarred Denney; grandchildren, Jon Colton Denney, Eli Denney, Conner Doyle, Trent Humphries, Lyric Sweatman, and Margaret Ann Hadley. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan Denney; father, James Jackson Denney; and mother, Joyce Wray.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Adams Brown Service Chapel with Bro. Lonnie Craft officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, May 14, from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be George Williams, Jon Colton Denney, Jarred Denney, Rodney Peppers, Johnny Phillips, and Stanley Isbell.
Jon’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends who cherished him dearly.
