Faye Nell Jones, 89, of Courtland, Alabama passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Gerald Sherrill officiating. Burial will be at Smyrna Church Cemetery.
Born on December 1, 1935, to Uyless and Lurdeen Hutto Terry. Faye was a member of Harvestfield “Wheeler” Pentecostal Church. Faye enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her three children, Deborah (Gerald) Sherrill, Alvis “Slick” (Donna) Jones, and Byron (Theresa) Jones; nine grandchildren, Derek (Mary) , Jonathan (Lacy), Jeremy (Amanda), Alvis “Lil Slick”(Allison), Tiffany (Bo), Paige (Joey), Byron Scott Jr., Jason, and Brandon; nineteen great-grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew (Moriah), Chanden (Sophia), Laken (Sophie), Kaden, Kayleigh Grace, Kennedy, Easton, Caitlin (Tanner), Haylee, Chloe, Jax, Blythe, Bevan, Kayleigh Brooke, Noah, Gage, Kensliee, and Gabriella; three great-great-grandchildren, Logan, Emmy, and River; two sisters, Belinda Early and Donna Ward; four brothers, Billy Terry, Bradley Terry, Bryan Terry, and Barry Terry; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Alvis Jones; parents, Uyless and Lurdeen Terry; and three brothers, Quindle Terry, Gaylon Terry, and Kyle Terry.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
