Terry Drummond, a beloved husband, father, and friend passed away peacefully on
March 27th at the age of 68. Born on December 22nd, 1956 in Birmingham AL.
Terry lived a life filled with laughter, love, respect and loyalty.
He was a devoted husband to Jeannie Drummond, and father to Jamie Simmons. He
cherished spending time with his family, creating lasting memories through working on model
cars, attending his grandchildren’s school and sporting events, and family vacations. His
laughter and kind heart will be missed by all who knew him.
Terry was a heavy machine mechanic at Caterpillar for 37 years. He found joy in spoiling
all of his dogs through the years, he also enjoyed building his slot car racing room alongside his
brother Jerry while watching Alabama football. His work and hobbies reflected his attention to
detail and his dedication to hard work.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Earlene Drummond; and his brother, Jerry
Wayne Drummond.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jeannie Drummond; Son, Jamie (Wife: Sarah) Simmons;
Grandchildren, Austin Simmons, and Emma (Husband: Paco) Hernandez; and great-
grandchildren, Grayson Simmons and Mateo Hernandez; and nephew Dustin Drummond.
Visitation will be held March 31st, 2025, at New Horizon Funeral Home in Dora, AL at noon. A
celebration of life will begin at 1:00pm. Terry will be laid to rest at Good Hope Community
Cemetery immediately following.
