FLORENCE-On February 3, 2025, at approximately 8:00 PM, law enforcement officers responded to the intersection of West Mobile Street and North Locust Street to a report of a male victim who had been severely beaten and left in the roadway.
Following further investigation, Fredrick Maurice Ingram, a 47-year-old male residing in Florence, was identified as a suspect in the incident. Ingram was apprehended and subsequently charged with Attempted Murder on February 11, 2025.

Tragically, on March 3, 2025, the victim of the incident, Donald Edwin Hale, a 59-year-old male also residing in Florence, succumbed to the injuries sustained.
Subsequently, on March 4, 2025, the charge of Attempted Murder was upgraded to Murder. Ingram was already in custody at the Lauderdale County Detention Center and is currently being held without bail.
