Carol Rigney, 86, passed away on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025. She was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to James E. Mason and Helen D. Okerson Mason. In her teens and into her early 20’s, she was a model for various companies in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was crowned Miss Tulsa in 1957. She went on to win other beauty titles as well. Carol was a very talented self-taught artist, loved interior decorating, and always kept up with and wore the latest fashion trends.
Carol met the love of her life, Gary Rigney, while still in high school, and they later married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, on December 17th, 1960.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kristen Herrin (Roger) and Gabrielle Helix (Bruce); three grandchildren; and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Gary Rigney.
