Pheraba Ann Wicker Digesu, known to her friends and family as Ann, was born in Ft. Payne, Alabama, in 1930 to John and Eleanor Wicker. She lived a life full of love and dedication to her family and community.
In 1958, Ann married Fred Digesu in Huntsville, Alabama. Together, they built a beautiful family and cherished the moments they shared. Fred passed away in 2009, leaving a void in Ann’s heart, but her strength and resilience carried her forward.
Ann leaves behind a legacy through her loving children and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Anita Winkler and her husband, Steve; her son, Michael DiGesu and his wife, Bethany; and her cherished grandchildren, Andrew Sommerfeld, Erika Sommerfeld, Todd Yarbrough, and Madison DiGesu.
In accordance with Ann’s wishes, there will be no formal service. Those who wish to honor her memory are encouraged to make donations to their favorite charity in her name.
Ann’s spirit and kindness will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved her.
