Elizabeth Lynne Welch Self, 87, Tuscumbia, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025. A private service was held for the family with Leigh Tiffin officiating. Interment was in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Elizabeth was a member of Redemption Shoals where she enjoyed attending Sheryl Pitman’s Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Mitchell Self; and son, Dwight Kevin Self.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Othel McClanahan; children, James Michael Self (Melissa), William Timothy Self (Terri), Michelle Self Tiffin (Van), and Robert M. “Bob” Self (Chas); grandchildren, Angela, Carlon, Kristin, Ashton, Leigh, Kristopher, Kelsey, Mitchell, Shelby, Alli, Delaney, Tucker, Emma, Ella, Danny, Darby, and Jackie; and good friend, Linda Hall.
Pallbearers will be Leigh Tiffin, Kristopher Self, Chase Davis, Danny Self, Steve McClanahan, and Greg McClanahan. Tas Agnew, Ryan Richardson, Matt McKinney, Josh Aycock, Tucker Hammock, and Jonathan Woods serve as honorary pallbearers.
