Rickey Wayne Humphries, 71 of Hulaco passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born January 5, 1954 in Arab the son of Franklin Wayne Humphries and Janese Shedd Humphries. He was a retired millwright worker and a member of the Sons of The American Legion Post 8 riders of Guntersville. He loved his family, but most of all he loved the Lord and was a born-again Christian.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Jan Pierce Humphries; son: Franklin Humphries (Tabitha); granddaughter: Zila; mother: Janese Humphries-Mead (Jerry); sister: Rita Knott (Billy); host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Wayne Humphries.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2025, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Brock Johnson and Daniel Pierce officiating. The burial will be in Ryan Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers: Adam Weaver, Jeff Creel, Troy Bunny, Wesley Vaughn, Michael Sellers and Heath Pickett. Honorary pallbearer: Mark Shedd.
