Wylodean Sandusky Reynolds

was born on Dec. 20, 1930, in Lutts, Tenn. the daughter of James Carter and Lona Franks Sandusky, who preceded her in death. On May 28, 1950, she was united in marriage to William Roy Reynolds, who preceded her in death on May 24, 1997.

Mrs. Reynolds lived, at one time, in South Bend, Ind. and was employed as a supermarket cashier. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Central Heights, Ala. where she loved to sing gospel hymns. She enjoyed staying in touch with all of her school friends.

Mrs. Reynolds departed this life on April 30, 2013, at her residence in Florence, Ala. at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 10 days.

She is survived by her son, Steve Reynolds, of Florence, Ala.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces; and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Frank Alan Reynolds; a sister, Inez Warren; and two brothers, Jay Sandusky and Earnest Sandusky.

Special thanks to caregivers Janice Hill, Pam Kirby and Theresa Hanback and to Dr. David Brown of the Northwest Alabama Cancer Center, Hospice of Tennessee Valley, Brother Barrett and Leigh Ann Long, special friends, Larry and Barbara Rich and all of her church family.

Services will be held on May 1, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, Tenn., with Barrett Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Neill Cemetery in Savannah, Tenn.
