Billie Jean Parson, 93 of Haleyville, Alabama, passed away December 1, 2023, in Haleyville, Alabama.
She was born January 9, 1930, in Double Springs, Alabama.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at New Prospect Baptist Church, where Mrs. Parson will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Littleville Cemetery in Haleyville. Dr. Ron Horton will officiate.
Billie is survived by her son, Aubrey (Ginger) Parson; grandchildren, Bryan (Angela) Parson, Angie Parson, Tammy Parson, Susan Parson, Lisa Parson (Jerron) Emerson; and Jennifer Parson (Brandon) Rambo; 8 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Son” Meldon Parson; sons, Meldon Junior Parson and Billy Neal Parson; daughter in law, Mary Lou Parson; father, George Brannon; mother, Odessa Holsonback; siblings, Sonny Brannon, Geraldine Posey, Kathryn Whitman, Sue Birdyshaw, and Aubrey Joe Brannon; and great-great grandson, Tatum Parson.
