Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Fulton Hagood, 83, of Oakman will be held Friday, November 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Jasper First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donnie Hyche and the Rev. Donnell Brown officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday at the church.
Mrs. Hagood passed peacefully at Walker Baptist Medical Center on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her Husband of 61 years-Walter Lee Hagood; Parents-Spencer and Minnie Fulton; Sisters-Darrace Kimbrell and Geneva Moore; Grandchild-Spencer Lee Hagood.
She was born on December 11, 1939, in Corona, AL. She and her loving husband raised three sons and a daughter in Oakman, where she was a member of Oakman First Baptist Church most all of her adult life.
She is survived by her Sons-Steven L. Hagood (JoAnn), Jerry A. Hagood (Marian) and Joel D. Hagood (Jennifer); Daughter-Sharon F. Hagood; Grandchildren-Annleigh B. Hagood, Breck A. Hagood, James W. Hagood and John W. Hagood; Sister-Dorothy Courington; Many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Scott Moore, Greg Kimbrell, Jason Kimbrell, Nathan Dunaway, Brian Scoles and Mike Brewer.
