Ms. Stella “Evaughn” Millinder Blankenship, age 80, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, in Lexington. She was born September 15, 1942 in Henderson County to the late Leroy and Flola Mae Essary Drinkard. She was a retired CNA, working at Briarwood in Lexington and Skilled Nursing in Jackson.
Survivors include her five daughters, Carol Whitman, Peggy Griffith, Dian Blankenship, Lisa Shavers, and Ethel Todd; eighteen grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, John Taylor Millinder and Coy Lee Blankenship; two sons, Charlie L. Millinder and Robert T. Millinder; daughter, Johnnie Gail Millinder; brother, Robert Drinkard; sister, Lorene Jowers; and two grandchildren, John Millinder and Colten Blankenship.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Wednesday, May 10, 2023 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, 11 AM – 8 PM and on Wednesday, 10 AM – 2 PM.
