Jerry Wayne Patterson, 74, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at his home. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for 47 years. He loved reading his Bible, going to church and working with heavy equipment and tractors. His greatest joy was spending time with family and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 24, 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry George and Bro. Caleb Waycaster officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Krystal Cox Patterson; two sons, Leon Patterson (Amber) and Luke Patterson (Georgia); two daughters, Velva Evans (Terry) and Hannah Hamm (David); grandchildren, Kix and Arabella Patterson, Emily Fowler (Patrick), Abby Evans, Jacob and Elizabeth Hamm and Waylon Patterson; two great-grandchildren, Zoey and Hazel Fowler; three brothers, Robert, Donnie and Larry Patterson; seven sisters, Yvonne Sharp, Doris Dillard, Paulene Barnett, Barbara Howard, Patsy Smith, Regina Rust and Ann James.
He was preceded in death by parents, Albert and Lorene Patterson; grandson, Beau Patterson; brother, Nolan Patterson and sisters, Imogene Stacey, Geneva Oliver and Judy Patterson.
Pallbearers will be Peyton Wooten, Kirk Wooten, Jeff Fowler, David Pruitt, Shannon Young and David Whitfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Kix Patterson, Jacob Hamm and Waylon Patterson.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 23, 5-9 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
