Billy L. Strickland, 81, of Rogersville, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at his residence.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from TVA.
Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m.- noon at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow immediately in the chapel with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam Strickland, Jacob Strickland, Sam Yerbey, Chaun Tanguay, Tyler Hamm, Michael Wooten and Houston Strickland.
Mr. Strickland was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rose Strickland; sister, Bonnie Strickland; brothers, Hershel Strickland, Pruitt Strickland, Malcolm Strickland and Terry “T.S.” Strickland. He is survived by his wife, Jimmie McMurry Strickland; children, Karen Yerbey (Richard) Harris, Murray (Lisa) Strickland, Bradford (Sonye) Strickland, Terri (Brian) Scheetz and Kellie Strickland; grandchildren, Sam (Ashley), Amber, Adam (Stephanie), Maria, Kenny, Houston, Jacob, Chaun, Emma and Conner; great-grandchildren, Rowen and Evan.
