Funeral service for Bettie Burks Horton who went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2022. She was 89 years old. Bettie was born January 27, 1933 in Cullman County, AL to Robert and Myrtle Hawkins Burks. She was married to Marlin Horton for 64 Years and she worked for Dr. James E. Moody for 27 years. Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marlin and her son, Glenn Horton, brothers, Leroy Burks, 2 Sisters, Wilma Flack and Ressie Bishop, Daughter-In-Law, Sharon Garner Horton.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 1:00PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Greg Burks officiating with burial in Holly Pond Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00PM-1:00PM at the funeral home.
Survivors Include:
Brother-Bobby Burks (Sylvia)
Granddaughter-Jessica Horton Murray (Philip)
Pallbearers will be Kenny Hayes, Tony Burks, Daniel Burks, Ricky Burks, Kevin Horton, and Bill Horton.
In lieu of flowers Memorial may be made to the Glenn Horton Memorial Scholarship at Wallace State Community College.
