Letha “Lee” Arlene Woosley, age 78 of Cowan, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Los Angeles, CA on March 12, 1944 to the late H A and Letha Preston Snell. Lee has been a resident of Franklin County since 1982, where she helped her parents with their restaurant, The Chuck Wagon. She then went on to open her own restaurant, Lee’s Corner Café. Lee loved meeting new people and talking with old friends. She was an amazing mom, grandma, and great grandma. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Leach and Fred Snell; and sister, Ramona Kay Snell. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Ann (Danny) Whited of Winchester and Cathy Lynn (Doyle Hillis) Lange of Cowan; grandchildren, Caylin Lee (Brandon Hastings) Lawrence of Cowan, Bradly James ( Kim Summers) Lawrence of Decherd and Harley Duane (Kati Elliott) Stines of Madison, AL.; great-grandchild, Emberlyn Noel Lawrence; sisters, Francine Moore of Georgia, and Mary (Phillip) Dodson of Estill Springs; brothers, Walter (Donna) Snell of Indiana and George (Dawn) Snell of Winchester; long-time friends, Rita Davidson of Iowa, Elaine (Louie) Callender of Manchester and Margo Pate of Winchester; elected family, Shelli (Wayne) Ash, Jeannie (Justin) Dodds, Lacie (Brandon) Hunt, Ellie (Tom Bates) Ash, Austin ( Chasity) Ash; and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 5pm until 8pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 3:30pm in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
