Ferrell C. Hood, Jr., 78 of Graysville, passed away Monday July 18, 22 at his residence. He retired as a Locomotive Mechanic after 39 years at ABC Coke. His great joys in life were, meeting all his friends at Jack’s Restaurant every morning and cutting his grass.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Hood Wells; his dad, Ferrell C. Hood, Sr. and his grandparents, Elijah and Lena Hood.
Survivors include his grandsons, Jeremy Moncrief (Leah), Jonathan Moncrief and Jamie Moncrief (Danny Mitchell) eight great grandchildren and his special friends, Angel Fuller, Gerri Abney and Larry Hollis.
Graveside service and interment will be Friday July 22, 22 at 1:00 pm at Freewill Cemetery in West Jefferson. There is no visitation. Everyone is welcome to meet at the cemetery.
