Ian Jacob Disch, age 36 of Decherd, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at his residence. Ian was born on October 25, 1985 in Three Rivers, MI to Daniel Disch and Kathy Stuard. He was a 2004 graduate of Columbia Central High School, where he played trombone in the marching band. He attended Columbia State Community College and graduated with his associates degree and later attended MTSU. Ian was a member of the First Baptist Church of Manchester and taught Sunday school for 3 years to the 3rd and 4th graders. He enjoyed playing the piano, listening to the podcast-Welcome to Nightvale, and listening to music including Pink Floyd, ACDC and John Denver. He also enjoyed reading Stephen King novels, his favorite being The Dark Tower. Ian had a love for the arts and was a performer in many plays and musicals at the Manchester Arts Center. He was currently employed at Domino’s Pizza as a driver and was a host for Brain Blast Trivia. Ian will be remembered as a sweet soul with a big heart, who was loyal to his friends and family. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jean Cass and Edward Harp and Henry and Norma Disch. Ian is survived by his loving wife of five years, Vicki Disch of Decherd; parents, Daniel (Penny) Disch of Manchester, and Kathy (Mark) Stuard of Manchester; brother, Justin (Stephanie) Disch of Manchester; stepsister, Julie (John) Holinshead of Chattanooga; nieces, Sophie, Rebecca, Grace and Danielle; special friends, Kai Tyler and Danny and Richard Carpenter; and mother-in-law, Marcella Cunningham. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 5pm until 8pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 1pm in the chapel of Moore-Cortner with Dr. Benton Cox officiating. Interment to follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
