Born in Asheville, North Carolina to Anna Kent Flack Greenwood and Terrell Greenwood, Terry was an active child, loving baseball, music, and airplanes. He graduated from Enka High School in 1957 and entered the co-op program at Georgia Tech graduating in 1961 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He married Alma Barnes and moved to Los Angeles where he worked and got his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California. Moving to Huntsville, Alabama he worked for Brown before becoming a part of NASA. While working for NASA, he attended the University of Texas, Austin and in 1969 received his PhD in Thermodynamics. His only child, Beverly Joanna was born the same year. He would return to Huntsville, where he lived the rest of his life. In 1976 he married Jean Colwell Wrubel and she and her son, John Alexander Wrubel moved to Huntsville.  He was adjunct faculty with UAH for many years.  He retired from NASA in 2010. He was active in OLLI for six years after retiring. He is survived by his wife, his ex-wife, his daughter and her Husband (Gary Dezenberg), step-son, sister Phyllis Schrader and her husband Bill Schrader.

Terry was very passionate about baseball and World War II, especially fighter planes from that period. He was beloved by all his family and the many friends he made over the years. He will be missed.
