Loma Elizabeth Eslinger, age 95, of South Bend, passed away Feb. 20, 2013, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. Loma was born Nov. 29, 1917, in Lime Rock, Ala. to the late Thomas Sterling and Nancy Lula (Dalrymple) Head. On Dec. 20, 1959, she married Wesley W. Eslinger. He preceded her in death, passing away in July of 1995.
She was also preceded in death by her children, Riley Nelson and Dorothy Nantz; as well as her seven brothers; and one sister. Surviving is her granddaughter, Stacy Roll, of Ala.; and several nieces; and nephews.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Loma was employed by Gurley Leep in Mishawaka for many years before retiring in 2007. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, sewing and traveling. She also had attended the Apostolic Church in South Bend.
