Mary Lynn Vandiver Carlton, 69, of Huntsville, passed away March 23, 2022. Mary Lynn was born September 21, 1952, in Huntsville, Alabama to Ray and Martha Vandiver. A lifelong resident of Huntsville, Mary Lynn graduated from Buckhorn High School, attended Auburn University, and graduated from the University of Tennessee. She was involved in many community activities including Junior League of Huntsville, Twickenham Board, and Weeden House Board and was a member of Episcopal Church of the Nativity.
Mary Lynn is preceded in death by her husband, Kit Carlton, and daughter, Meredith Carlton. She is survived by daughter, Ashley Carlton; brother, Frank Vandiver (Terrie); sister, Iris Thorpe (David); and five nephews and eight great nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Church of the Nativity in Huntsville, Alabama.
