On March 23rd, 2022, Freda Joyce Marchman left this earthly home for her heavenly home. She was born May 28th, 1937 to Walter and Florence Persall of Cullman, Alabama.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Felix Marchman; son, Eugene Marchman; five siblings and four great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Delores (David) Clark, Denise Marchman, Donna (Jim) Hutchens, Garry (Bobbie) Marchman, Drenda Marchman, and Delitha Marchman; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
“Put God first” was the motto of her life. She was a playful, witty, adventurous, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece and friend. Her home and table were a safe haven and always open to all to share food, laughter, and a huge serving of hospitality and love. Her Saturday breakfasts and Sunday lunches were enjoyed by hundreds over the years. She loved to attend worship, sing, cook, garden, ride her 4 wheeler and welcome friends and family to her home.
She was a lifelong member of Chances Cross Roads Church of Christ.
Celebration and honoring of her legacy will be at Cullman Funeral Home, 278 East, Saturday, March 26th at 2 p.m.. Visitation will be from 11-2 prior to the service. Ministers will be Tony Willingham, and Sidney McMinn.
Pallbearers will be Johnathan Godbee, Jeremy Hopper, Zackery Moore, Damon Moore, Nathan Marchman, Dave Clark, Daniel Clark.
