Funeral service for Alton Ray Morgan, age 71, of Decatur, will be Tuesday, February 12, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Morgan, who died Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Beltline, was born January 6, 1942, in New Prospect, AL, to Mr. William Franklin Morgan and Mrs. Flossie Brooks Morgan.
Mr. Morgan is preceded in death by his parents and brother Crayton Morgan.
He is survived by his wife Sue Morgan, two daughters, Sonia Morgan Livingston (Chris) of Charlotte, N.C. and Susan Morgan Hemmerly (Wayne) of Huntsville, AL. Three grandchildren, Zach, Bella and Harrison. One sister, Mary Alice Brooks of Jackson, AL.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alabama Children’s Home.
