Emmie Edith Perry was born on July 25, 1924. She was born in Fayetteville, Tennessee to the parents of Fred Daniel and May Tucker. She went on to marry Otha Perry in 1940. Together they had five children. She is survived by her son, Roger Perry; daughter, Brenda Wilson; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by son, Wayne Perry; daughters, Marie Reap and Veleda Sumbie one sister and two brothers.
Some of her hobbies was sewing, gardening and having big family gatherings. She was a wonderful cook and hard working all of her life. She was a giver; she always wanted to share with family and friends.
She loved life, but most of all she loved God. She was always praying and wanted you to pray for her. One of her favorite things to say was God knows best; she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 8th from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral service will at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend Dan Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery.
