Margie June Wood, 90, died Thursday, March 3, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Itawamba County, MS and was a bus driver for Red Bay High School for nineteen years. June was a member of First Baptist Church, Red Bay, AL.

Services will be Saturday, March 5, 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Bill Harper officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Red Bay, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by a son – Alan Wood (Debra); two daughters – Gail Scott and Cindy Northington; grandchildren – Jennifer Smith (Matt), Brooke Parker, Steven Wood (Klancy), Chris Northington, Byron Northington (Erika), Blake Northington (Jessica), Britta Orrick (Jeremy) and Brooke Binning (Bobby); great-grandchildren – Tallin Triste, Sloane Triste, Amelia, Alma Leigh and Davis Northington, Jackson and Madilyn Smith, Riley Beth and Rhett Parker, Bryson Hacker, Austin and Cashton Orrick and Alice Binning; two sisters – Virginia Cournoyer and Mary Long and one brother – Bill Davis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Wood; a daughter, Barbara Wood, a granddaughter, Natasha Harris, a son-in-law, Randy Northington, her parents, Earl Davis and Evie Nix Davis; brothers, Jim Davis, Jack Davis, J.R. Davis and Prince Davis and an infant sister, Flora Ann Davis.

Pallbearers will be Chris Northington, Byron Northington, Blake Northington, Steven Wood, Matt Smith and Jackson Smith.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 5, 1-3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
