James Wade “Cotton” Myers Sr, age 70 of Belvidere, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. A native of Franklin County, he was born on September 8, 1951, in Winchester to the late Arnold Lee Myers and Mary (Frances) Jacks. James was the owner and operator of Myers Motors where he was also the lead mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, as well as watching westerns and NASCAR (especially Dale Earnhardt). James was extremely funny and enjoyed a good laugh by telling jokes. The true leader of the family, if James lectured you that meant he loved you, and he truly cherished the time spent with his beloved family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Jacks; and niece, Beverly Cambron. James is survived by his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Cindy Myers of Belvidere; children, James (Shamara) Myers Jr of Decherd, and Cassie “PuNu” Myers of Belvidere; grandchildren, Noah, Sharlette, Zoey, Jonah, Savannah, Titus, and Lucy Myers; siblings, Kathy Cambron of Cowan, Tommy (Anna) Myers of Cowan, Mary “Alice” (Jim) Holliday of Cowan, and Regina (Ricky) Bradford of Estill Springs; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3-4 pm on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with James Myers Jr officiating.
