Funeral for Floyd Don Green, 62, of Somerville, will be today, February 5, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Chris Pressnell and Brother Ricky Lowery officiating. Burial following in Burningtree Memorial Gardens in Decatur.
Mr. Green was born November 22, 1950, in Morgan County to Floyd O. Green and Lucille Morgan Green. He passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Decatur-Morgan Hospital. Mr. Green was a member of Flint Church of Christ. He retired from Browns Ferry after 20 years. He also retired from South Limestone Co-op. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Green.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Martha Green; one son, Floyd Don “Donnie” (Melissa) Green Jr. of Hartselle; one daughter, Dana (Tommy) Brown of Hartselle; three sisters, Annette “Susie” (Earl) Montgomery, Anita Green, both of Belle Mina, and Connie (Randy) Millwood of Blountsville; one sister- in-law, Gloria Green of Decatur; four grandchildren, Mary Allyson “Mally” Green, Katelyn Green, Logan Brown and Luke Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Seth Green, Todd Newsom, Ottie Newsom, Morgan Montgomery, Rick Cook and Chuck Long.
