Mr. Bobby Ray Jacobs age 72 of McMinnville, TN died Monday, January 03, 2022, at his residence. He was born May 29, 1949, in McMinnville, TN, served in the National Guard, worked as a quality inspector for over 35 years with Carrier Air Conditioning, and was a member of Bratchers Crossroads Free Methodist Church. Bobby was a Boy Scout in his youth and later became a youth leader with the Boy Scouts, was active in church youth camps, loved camping and fishing, and enjoyed horseback riding. He was preceded in death by his parents Edzel Arnett and Berdie Dean Smith Jacobs, brother Terry Jacobs, and granddaughter Raegan Simons.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years Pam Jacobs, children Jonathan (Kandy) Jacobs and Stephanie Jacobs, siblings Delma Faye (Andy) Tinsley, Wayne (Joy) Jacobs, and Robbie (Wendell) VanValin, grandchildren Keely Jacobs, Leah Jacobs, and Kolby Simons, great grandchild Asa Jacobs and a great grandchild on the way. Many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and family friends also survive.
The funeral service for Mr. Jacobs will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 05, 2022, at Bratchers Crossroads Free Methodist Church. Bro. Bobby Wheeler and Bro. Charlie Shoemaker will officiate. Interment will follow at Centertown Cemetery. The Jacobs family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and again on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Bratchers Crossroads Free Methodist Church. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
