Mrs. Frances Lewis Tucker Frances Lewis Tucker passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021. She was born September 18, 1932, in the Hebron community of Grant, Alabama, to John Murphy Lewis and Leonia Holt Lewis.
Frances loved to shop and to travel. Her daughter carried her and some of her sisters at least once a year to places like Gatlinburg, Fairhope, Callaway Gardens, Bellingrath Gardens, and Mobile. Just mention the word “GO” and she was ready! She loved her church and loved to sing in the choir, especially in the Christmas programs. Working in her yard was a pastime as well.
Mrs. Tucker is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, David and Regina Tucker Bowling; son, Charles Dean Tucker; grandsons, Jacob Bowling, Daniel Bowling (Niki); granddaughter, Kayla Tucker; great grandsons, Charles Bowling, Bentley Bowling, Bryson Bowling; great granddaughter, Ruby Cate Bowling; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Tucker is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Tucker; sisters, Della Walker, Gertha Lewis, Gracie Hand, Mary Canfield, Faye Phillips, and Eula Cooper; brothers, J.B. Lewis and L.D. Lewis.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. A service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Frank Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow at Gilliam Springs Cemetery.
