David Eugene Worley, Sr., 79, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday in the arms of his wife, Helen Worley. He was born to John Langston Worley and Bonnie Simmons Worley. David was born, and lived his life in Madison County, Alabama.

He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, John Worley and Edward Worley, and his sisters, Bertha Worley Urlaub and Thelma Worley Schrimsher. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Helen Stover Worley; mother-in-law, Helga Stover; his son, David E. Worley, II (Lori); his daughters, Kelly Worley Washburn (Eric), Jonnie Worley Austria (John), and Jennifer Worley Oliver (Jon); grandchildren, Jonathan Madrid, Jordan Austria, Joey Spears, Matthew Oliver, Isaac Oliver, Ian Worley-Oliver, Aidyn Brown, McKinley Oliver, Audrey Worley, Juliet Oliver and David E. Worley III; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Austria.

David graduated from The University of Alabama with his Juris Doctorate and was a well-known local attorney in Huntsville for many years. It is difficult to put into just a few words telling you about David’s robust life. He was a storyteller and had a passion for helping people with his law practice. His biggest pride were his children and grandchildren. We love you Dad and will miss you until we meet again.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, December 23rd at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, with the funeral service immediately following in the chapel. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
